There are 2 types of currency in Farmville, there is Farmville Cash and just regular in game coins.
Farmville Cash can be made 3 ways
(1)bought with real US dollars
(2)you earn $1 every level earned
(3) you can complete the online offers with the Farmville affiliates.
Farmville in game coins can be made by harvesting crops, trees and animals.
The most profitable crops are listed below in the chart.
Crops
Crops have time till harvest in the market to let you know when they will be ready. The Farmville day only lasts 23 hours.
You DO NOT have to harvest your plants right when they are ready, the amount of time it takes the crop to harvest is the amount of time they will be available after ripened to harvest. For example tomatoes take 8 hours to be ready to harvest, but you have 8 hours after they are ready before they will die. So they will be there for 16 hours. Strawberries will ripen in 4 hours, but we will be available 4 hours after they ripen, then they will die after that.

Quick Farmville Experience
Planting yields little experience singularly but if you have a large feild it multiplies quickly. Planting also gives you the required money to boost your xp. Trees give xp when first planted, buildings give usually about 1% of their cost in xp. Helping your friends on their farms also yields 5xp per friend helped. The easiest way to find friends with help is to go to your neighbors tab and up at the top there is usually someone who needs help. This is shorter than going though all your friends if you have many.
- Buy Buildings, and decorations. (Exp. If you buy a log cabin for 250,000 you get 2,500xp)
- You can if you have enough money you can plow(1xp) and then plant soy beans(2xp) and then just dig it up and repeat the process. This cost 25 coins but gets a quick 3xp.
- Helping Neighbors 5xp per friend (see Friends section)
- Trees yield xp when first planted. (see trees section)
- As seen below if you lock your farmer in with a fence or animals where he doesnt move then you can harvest/plant without having to wait on your farmer..
Crops that yield the most Farmville XP per hour
This is all about getting to the next level.
